Linda is a senior communications professional with more than 20 years’ experience in corporate communications and consultancy work.
She has business and public sector experience gained while working as South Island Communications Manager for Telecom; as a Public Affairs Manager at the Christchurch City Council; Communications Executive at Healthlink South Crown Health Enterprise; Communications Manager at Government-owned insurer Southern Response; and managing communications and marketing at Lincoln University. She’s also worked as a journalist at The Press and Television New Zealand.
Linda’s communications work includes business transformation and change, issues management, strategy development and implementation, crisis management, internal engagement and culture, media management and a broad range of stakeholder engagement activities. Her strengths are issues identification and management and building successful working relationships.
Outside work Linda is an avid reader, a news junkie, a Sudoku enthusiast and starts each day with a run on the Port Hills. She loves to travel and to learn how others live. Linda has been to the Antarctic twice; one of those trips was a summer spent as Information Officer at Scott Base. She’s also owned a central Christchurch hospitality business which she transformed into a successful business.
