At the 2023 Public Relations Institute of New Zealand Awards, Convergence was proud to pick up three awards for our work on Phil Mauger's electoral campaign for the Christchurch Mayoralty.

Convergence partner Erin Jamieson was campaign manager for Phil and led a talented team to undertake a fully integrated campaign.

Her integrated social media and marketing communications strategy took a hyperlocal approach to engaging with residents about their community’s issues and aspirations. Messaging and tactics were tailored to each of the electorate’s 16 wards and political participation was encouraged.

In 2021 and 2022 Convergence won Gold in the Government Relations category, including the overall Supreme PRINZ award in 2021.
