Crisis Communications & Issues Management
If you are faced with a serious workplace accident, a faulty product, a social media campaign that’s threatening your reputation, or any other crisis – we have the skills and experience to help you recover with your reputation intact.
Having worked behind the scenes of many high-profile New Zealand crises, we know what works and what doesn’t in these situations. We’ll draw on decades of media and public relations experience, as well as our deep insight into the role social media can play in a crisis.
We also run crisis management and risk preparedness workshops, to help you prepare for possible future crises. These can include working in with a specialist third-party provider to provide comprehensive hands-on, rehearsal style, implementation training in the internationally recognised government and emergency services Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS).
The Convergence team features consultants who are CIMS trained and have worked on the National Crisis Communications Plan for the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
During the past 20 years, we’ve advised on defamation cases, disaster relief, large-scale receiverships and redundancies, serious animal welfare issues, food contamination scares, faulty product recalls and industrial accidents – many of which have been (or had the potential to be) national issues.
