Georgina trained and worked in environmental and resource management law, working for a top-tier national law firm before joining Convergence. With this background she gained valuable experience advising on a number of large-scale commercial, agricultural and infrastructure projects throughout Canterbury and wider New Zealand.

A keen writer, Georgina has been published in legal journals, drafting thought-provoking articles on law reform and issues of environmental contention.

She is able to distil complex issues into easy-to-comprehend concepts and has worked on sensitive projects requiring strategic solutions and delicate stakeholder relations. Georgina is particularly adept at issues management, working with partners and clients to formulate effective brand and reputation strategy.

At the weekends, Georgina enjoys getting outside and creating her own adventures – whether it is skiing at Canterbury’s club fields or biking Christchurch’s Port Hills. This love of the outdoors naturally drew her to completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Environmental Management, while also studying law. Whether in the office or outdoors ‘Georgy’ is always ready to roll up her sleeves and get stuck in.
